Default Replace tachometer and A/C in '79?

I'm about to purchase a 1979 C3 and the car looks to be in great condition except for two small things. The tachometer appears to be broken (stuck on 1.3) and the A/C doesn't work. Any ideas about the cost to repair/replace these parts?

Are you doing the work yourself or paying someone to do it?

I'll have someone else do it. I've not really learned what I'm doing YET. I just made the deal today. Tomorrow I get the title. I'm so excited. I've loved Corvettes ever since I was a kid and now I will own one!

Tach repair is fairly simple. Check out Wilcox web site for instructions. He is a supporting member and I recommend him highly. AC repair could be something as simple as a recharge or a major expense if components in the AC are malfunctioning.

agreed, tach is not a hard job even for a first timer. Feel free to PM me once you get the car, I can walk you through it.
