Default Magnaflow muffler mods

Hi!

Has anyone modified his Magnaflow mufflers to make them louder?
I think itīs easy to decrease the Helmholtz resonator effect by pressing a slotted tube into the perforated internal tube to bypass the sound absoption.
What do you think?

Best regards,

Andreas

Hi,

thatīs the question...

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/02muffler.asp

If you bypass the perforated straight tube inside it should be similar to a not existing muffler.

1. Your decreasing the inside diameter of the pipe, increased back pressure.
2. You are eliminating the expansion chamber that the muffler provides, increased back pressure and probably excess resonance.
3. If you dont want a muffler remove it and install a straight piece of pipe.
