Ready for paint
Getting ready for paint.
I spent about 8 hours stripping my 75 with a razor blade.
I was surprised on how well it worked to tell you the truth.
Sending it over to a friend to take care of the body work and then we'll lay down some color.
The problem is I haven't found the right color yet.
I know about what the out come will be but I'm looking for just the right
shade of Dark Blue. The picture below is close but not quite there.

I need help finding just the right blue for my baby.
If you have a picture please share it.
If you only have a web site that will work also.
Guys I really need your help on this one.
Thanks in Advance
Ralph

I think I'm leaning this way for my 73!
They call it "Deep Water Blue"! BMW has one close to it that is called "Deep Sea Blue".
PS: I have seen the picture that you linked to and like it also!

Ditzler 13346.
The Deep Sea Blue is simply awesome. I'm going to Sacramento to see them both on a car.
I also like the wheels on the charger SLP makes them for a c3 they are about $250 a wheel delivered.
What I don't like about the Vette I poster is the color looks a little purple to me.

This is an AWESOME blue that I used on my '66 Mustang that I restored. This blue pops and is a different shade depending on the light.
The color is from Ford. It is a 1998 Denim Blue color.

Nice looking mustang and it is a nice blue also
Has anyone else seen the dark metallic blue on the newer mustangs?
I've only seen 2 since March but it's nice.
I've tried to find it on line with no luck.
Have you guys seen the 2009 Deep Water Blue Pearl Dodge has out?
It's nice also.
I guess if I'm going to spend upwards of a couple grand on a paint job I just want something special.

This should keep you busy for a while. Plenty of options. I actually like the blue on the new Jaguar.

If you want a few more pictures of the vette I can post them. I never saw shades of purple in it. It looks different (darker) under cloud cover than it does in direct sunlight, but again, I never saw purple.

Maybe somewhat lighter than your sample, this is an electric blue pearl 2008 Dodge ram color.
Color was used from 2001 - up on a variety of vehicles
Code B5.

Ralph,
good luck pickin a blue after all the swatch support supplied.
I was unaware there were so many choices in blue.
I always thought the BB coupes looked amazing in the Bridgehampton Blue offered in 71.
427 basketcase that blue on your car looks amazing the car is very photogenic
It grabbed my eye right away.
I like it the best for a blue.
No offense to anyone else.
That's why there's vanilla ,chocolate, strawberry.
Choice wisely Ralph cause it aint cheap to paint.
