Did you need offset trailing arms? That looks awesome.

BOSS 338's 18x8 with 4.5BS. I have since added 1" wheel adapters in the back and have 1/4" spacers for the front. Just need longer lugs before I install them. And new monosprings from VBandP to lower the car. So lots of work left to do before it looks right to me. But getting closeer.

htown81 vette,

Nope, stock trailing arms. I don't have to move the emergency brake cables & brackets but probably will anyway just for some extra clearance.

Tropic--

After seeing all of these beautiful cars, have you made a final decision on what you are going to get??

I think I'm going with 18" x 8" with 4" back spacing and 255/45 18 all the way around...

one last wheel question. why the 17" on the front and 18" on the rear? is this strictly cosmetic or is there a performance advantage? and are the tires the same diameter as a stock size tire to keep the speedo accurate?

It's Ontario orange, but obviously not stock. Original owner had car painted in 1972, that same paint is on car today. There is some candy coating highlights that you can see on my door

thanks for that. i've seen it done on everything from 32 ford coupes to a friends Malibu wagon. the only drawback i could think of is that you couldnt rotate the tires from front to rear and vice-versa. it looks pretty cool though.

your car is just over the top beautiful ! i was going to re-paint my 78' L48 model in the original "arrest me red" but i think i may be going a different route now that i've drooled ove.........i mean looked at the pictures of your car. i feel like i'm going to drool all in my beard every time i look at it. the only change i'd make is i'd do 18x8's with 4" backspacing on all 4 corners. are those tires close to, or the same as the stock tire diameter?
