[QUOTE=clane10;1587454627]The fronts are 17x8 with 4" backspace. The rears are 18x9.5 with 5.25 backspace. I had to relocate the parking brake brackets to the top of the trailing arms. I also have a 1/4" spacer in the rear.
Were the tires rubbing before the spacer?

So i guess i have some serious modifications ahead.
I sold my 18x9.5 Breyton wheels because i did not like the sizes and looks afterall. I like a staggered look with one size in wheel difference between front and back and some serious meat in the rear with a nice set of fender flares and i ran into these babies:
Could not let them pass for that price..
Yes, that is a set of C6 Z06 wheels in the not-so-small sizes 18x9.5/275-35-18 front and a whopping 19x12/325-30-19 in the rear....
I don't know if anyone has tried before to get these massive wheels under a 1980 Vette, but i have some serious work to do on suspension and bodywork to get these fit and work.
The future will tell if i can get this done.

My head gets spinning reading all the wheel threads. I have a 68 with offset trailing arms, 360lb fiberglass spring and a rear sway bar. I believe from reading I can gain more room by loosing the spring and sway bar for an adjustable spring. Assuming I do that how big of 18" tire/wheel TT2 combo can I go with on the rear?

Did Mr. Wheel Deals provide the hub centric rings with your order?? I rec'd mine but there are no rings in the delivery so I'm hoping that was a simple oversight.

Thanks, I did discover that these wheels don't really need them for street since the lugs center the wheel when you tighten. However, I'd feel better if wheel were tight to the hub. I found a design for a set of rings, which I can have made from a local machine shop.

After months of checking out these threads, taking notes, looking at wheels/tires from various vendors, I can finally add some pics to this thread
