Holy cow. I have been following this thread and sent it to several people. I did not realize you are an hour away from me in Iowa City. I don't get to Davenport much but if I do I will look you up. If you find yourself in Iowa City let me know. I would love to see your car! BTW, we have a small car show/cruise-in once a month here in IC. There is one left

I'm in IA City every home football game!! We are in the RV lot. Stop by there or my home in Davenport anytime. Thanks for the invite. I will check to see what our schedule looks like. I will probably be in Iowa City to ask Ferentz why he plays so conservatively! 1.5 minutes left, 2 timeouts, and he runs the game out! I hope he watched the Notre Dame / Michigan game where 3 TD's were scored in 1 minute 12 seconds!!

Covington KY. Had a hell of a time getting it on the trailer. I didn't realize the Hone-O-Drive had a neutral!

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Great new pictures, love, love the valve covers.

I still have my Motion catalog from 1976 with drool marks intact.

Here is Dave Ankenbauer, RIP.

Here he is receiving his sharp shooter medal from the Marines.

Off topic comment here, but have to say that anyone who fights for this country or to protect us, whether that be military, fire and rescue, etc. who are injured or lose their lives during the call of duty - their family should be taken care of financially ALWAYS and not at the poverty level. It really makes me sick these people don't get the appreciation they deserve. This is one expense that I wouldn't mind paying more taxes for!

It was included, but I don't think functioning. I have a vintage pic of the pump attached, but I don't think it was ever operating. I have 6 months of correspondence between the original owner and Motion. He definitely did his homework. One question he asked was what would the car run in the 1/4 mile. He was written back, "in the 10 second area." !!

Nice car, nice score. A word of caution, however. Please take down all the documents referencing Baldwin or Motion. There are enough fake L88's now. ZL1's are getting more numerous (there are only supposed to be two, there are 5 claiming to be that I know of). Don't give the counterfiters any more ammo. Just my .02. /:\

Air conditioning foam will work in a pinch, just trim to fit. Get it at any hardware store/home center./:\

I took them off. Some of them type documents are already in circulation, but you are right, better safe then sorry. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for the tip on the AC foam. Off to the Hdwe store!

I like the comment from UberLegend " I second that Motion." How fitting.

there are three flashers in my 72 one on the fuse box one mounted on the inside of the passenger dash one of the lower corners and a third flasher underneath the rear compartment doors if memory serves between the jack and center storage compartment.

your vett puts a glint of green in my eye
better put on my shades and go for a drive
