Default Water pump for '73 350 engine

I was just told I need a new water pump for my '73 vert. Any idea what the cost of a replacement pump and installation might be ?

Thanks,

Nice, I have the same color and year with 47,000 miles. Got Top Flight with 96 points from Colorado Chapter NCRS. Currently rebuilding the original water pump which cost the same as a new one from Zip.com.

Hourly labor rates vary depending on area, $70 an hour doesn't/hasn't existed in my area in years. I would think a more realistic number is between $85 and $125 an hour.
As far as the price of a quality new pump, it of course varies as well, but a $30.00 figure may be a bargain retail price, but if you have a shop install it, you will be paying list price..substantially higher.
