just think, you can have your local fiberglass guy (or do it yourself, if so inclined) glass in some lexan on the hood, and you gots yourself a ZR3!!!
Not for me, however.

Burning Brakes
I have to agree it caught my eye yesterday. My daughter wants me to do that to my car!
I do agree with everyone that by the time you buy the kit, have it installed, painted, you would have a lot of money into the car. You still would have a C3 underneath. You could have bought a C5 or possibly a C6.
Did anyone get a look at the dash inside the car?

Melting Slicks
I saw it at Bloomington Gold too and thought it looked out of proportion. The nose is too long and it just looks off. And since the C3 is the best styling ever it was sort of like fixing a Da Vinci with a roller.

I am not a C6 fan, but the C3 to C6 conversion looks better than the actual C6; not as stubby.
I'm not interested in the kit or the conversion, but I have to admit, this particular kit has eye appeal.

Drifting
I'll bet with the body kit and paint they want over 30K for it. When all said and done it is still a customized C3 that is only worth 10K if you are lucky

I like it but.....
The negatives as I see them:
1. Maybe black out the ugly rocker panels (they look ugly and over sized to me) and add some side pipes, or chrome the rocker panels?
2. A spoiler under the front end to make it look a bit lower, or lower the entire car?
3. Back to chrome for the lock and entry handle (the painted version looks cheap and Bubba)?
4. A different set of rims could be an improvement?
5. Price is scary what with the "starting at" price of $9,000.00, which leads me to believe that you could indeed end up spending nearly if not as much as you could get a nice quality C6 for in the long run unless you start with a real cheap later model C3 that would in all probability be a POS that would require a ton of additional money to make right (any time I see starting at I know it'll be a lot more).
The positives as I see them:
1. Never been a fan of the "bay window" C3 years, but in this case it does seem to work.
2. Interior looks good.
All that said:
Not for me, but I'm sure there will be some that have a lot of money to burn.....

Another pointless exercise.
Looking at it long enough, it looks wrong. And if you dislike your C3's looks that much, why own one? Not to mention that the completed project leaves you with a bill of at least $10k in materials long before the first hour of labor and the car is worth next to nothing when you are done.
Also, have you watched the prices on C4s and C5s? If you stand still long enough, you will be able to sell your C3 and basically use that money to buy a C6.
That deosnt even play into the reaction from people when they find out you have a pretend C6. Much like ideas made about adding chrome bumpers to rubber bumper cars, etc, pretending your car is something it isn't is a direct line to muffled snickers as you drive by.
Goofy.
