diode in your alternator, lites turned on somewhere, clock,aftermarket radio to keep it's clock and memory settings. music amp unswitched, radar detectors, GPS, mp3 players, dirty/wet battery, old battery with warped internal plates... all of these provide a small current to flow to ground. eventually draining your battery..

my 69 would also drain the battery just setting, like to of never found the cause!
It was in my switch, when turning the car off and removing the key it was in the ACC position which would run the battery down. I never gave it a though that you could pull the key out when in the ACC position, now I look to see if the key lines up with the notch before pulling out.
No more problem.
