Default Under dash paint

I removed the dashboard a few months ago and I want to paint any exposed metal/steel under the dash and on the inside of the car. The car has very light corrosion and it still has a nice light green paint. The car is NOM 1968 convertible 4 spd with original tranny and some other misc parts. What would you guys do? Would you apply POR15 or keep it as is? I can post some pics tomorrow.

The green is zinc chromate primer used on the birdcage.

Hi A,
As Mike said zinc chromate was used originally.
What he ddn't say was that the EPA stopped the sale of zinc chromate a few years ago.
I'd think some other good primer would be satisfactory.
Regards,
Alan

Dupli-Color sells a "self-etching primer" in spray cans that is the same color as the original zinc chromate. You can find it in most auto parts stores. That would be my choice.
