Default Boss 338 wheels

I am looking into buying a new set of wheels and tires for my 75 with stock suspension and wanted to know if anyone is running the Boss 338with this type of suspension.

I am looking at running 18x8 with a 4.5 inch back space on the front with 255/45/18 tires. The back would be 18x9.5 inch wheels with a 5.0 inch back space and 285/40/18 tires.

The question is will this size wheel/tire combo fit my car with the factory suspension/trailing arms. If you are running this combo please advise. I am also looking at some other options but really like the look of these wheels. Thanks for the help.

Yes, those configs will fit, except, you might have rubbing issues with 255 tire up front. Most go with a 245 to be safe. There are lots of members here with these wheels.
Why not just go with a 4.0 bs on the front... That is the stock bs. 4.5 will tuck the wheels in closer.

I'm running 285/40 w/ 9.5 rims in the back and 235/50 w/ 8" wide in the front- Nitto 555.

The rear suspension is VanSteel's coilovers and the front is VanSteel's semi-coil overs w/ stock a-arms. I also have flares on the rear.

Thanks to the 'openness' of the Boss 338s- I'm gonna have to get new rotors...

What kind of ride/handling does the 18 inch wheels have? I know that the sidewall will be shorter and make it corner better but what about the ride quality? I will be cruising rather than road course type driving with my car. I have also thought about the Foose Legends which come in a 17 inch.

Just keep in mind that most of the C3s you see with 18" wheels are lowered. Something to think about to complete "the look".

As a side note "fugawi" I'm impressed everytime I see your car. The color is stunning.

I have 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear. The ride isn't bad with them and the cornering is great.

What size tires are you running on the front and back? Any suspension mods to the rear and/or parking brake cable brackets that are on the trailing arms?

I have 245x40 front and 275x35 rear, my parking break inst working have to order new parts but from what I understand you do have to move the brackets. As for suspension mods I have offset trailing arms and coil overs all the way around.

Have to mark this post. I have the same offset TR's and coil overs on all 4 so its nice to see what combos work.
