People around my car.....!
Stopped at the grocery store yesterday, and when I came out there were quite a few people looking at my car. All very nice and respectful and asking questions. First time anything like that has happened to me! That is after the car had gone on its first 100mi steady (troublefree!) run since completion. Makes all the time and effort worth it!!!

That's cool. I recieved numerous "thumbs up" responses yeaterday as well. Oh.... and a few engine revs from other rods as they cruised through intersections in front of me. Cruisin season is finally here after what seemed to be a pretty harsh Winter (for us in Michigan).

Enjoy it! It happens to me all the time. sometimes I will park at gas staion etc. where there car is never out of sight, and just watch the people that stop and look. The other day stopped at walgreens to pick up some meds, came out to find two teens looking at the vette, asking questions and all. C3's do attract attn where ever they are.

Even when I was a little away photographing a med evac helicopter flight when I turned around...here's what was there...folks looking at the vette. Happens virtually always.

Likewise...all that respectful attention is great. The stares are awesome as well as you are driving down the road or sitting at a stop light until you see the person not watching where they are going while staring at your ride and and run into the back of another car. Seriously this happened right infront of me while I was at a light and a guy was looking at the vette while he was turning and ran right into the back of another car smashing both cars really bad. It was not fun to watch it unfold and be totally helpless in the situation since any more attention I would have brought to myself to get him to stop and I don't believe I could have warned him in time between him understanding he needed to apply the breaks and then his reaction time as it all happened so quickly.

I had my yellow 1980 for less than an hour when I starting getting attention for it on the road. Drove it 11 hours to get it home, and several times on the interstates I would come up on a car travelling 5-10mph slower than me, and it took me nearly a mile to pass them because they would speed up alongside and stare! Fortunately no collisions!

Every time I pull it out of the garage it is a public exhibition.

I get stares in mine but best one was sitting at light in front of walmart, minding my own business waiting on green then outta corner of my eye I see a woman practically hangin out passenger side window and her husband bobbing his head around to see over his wifes shoulder. Even after I looked at them they still kept looking like I wasn't even in the car. Laughed all the way home.

I get a kick out of it when the young kids drop their jaws and then try to get Daddy's attention. Most don't have a clue what car they are looking at but they know cool when they see it.
