A regulator will not help with vapour lock problems. Save your money.

You didn't say what year or engine your car is (this always helps when asking questions) but most C3s have a three port pump which will eliminate 99.9% of vapour lock issues. Many owners have inadvertently downgraded their cars by installing an aftermarket two port pump.

Vapour lock happens inside the fuel pump. The 'vapour', caused by engine heat, prevents the pump from drawing in more fuel, so the engine runs rough or dies.

The stock three port pump constantly recirculates the fuel by pushing some of it back to the tank via the bypass line. The incoming cooler fuel from the tank prevents vapour from forming.

If you are using the Edlebrock 1711 pump it is a 10psi pump and you need a regulator. A good place to locate it is right before the carburetor.

Used a Holley FPR on a cantankerous Ducati to solve overpressurized fuel system once. My regulator came with a 3.5 psi setting from the factory, FYI. Don't see how it would help for vapor lock tho.
