Is this OK or did I become Bubba??
I am redoing the interior of my '74 and I have seen threads of people using POR 15 on the fiberglass prior to putting the hush mat or carpet in. I was at NAPA and found Dupli Color truck bed liner spray. I bought a couple cans and started in the storage area. My plans are just to do that and the floor. The pictures are from the 1st coat. My intent is not to do to NCRS standards but keep it "period correct" and as stock appearing as possible.
I figure that if is durable enough for a truck bed then a couple thinner coats will be good protection. Opinions????

It does have a more finished look. I have new carpet and am going to put matting down. Will be starting a thread on the replacement, but at a standstill right now.

I think it looks great, but it just occurred to me that it might not be a good idea from the standpoint of out-gassing.
It's definitely a product designed for use outside the passenger compartment. You probably don't spend lots of time in the car, and when you do, the roof is off and the windows are wide open, so it's probably not a big deal, but you never know.
If it's the kind of thing that stays flexible or rubbery when dry, that tells me that there might be at least some solvents or whatever present.
Anyway, just a thought. I do like it though.

I wouldn't consider it Bubba. His work stands out for what it is: lame.
I like it because it makes that part of the car uniform. It's a very utilitarian part of the interior anyway and you probably have other parts of the car to draw attention to so it won't be a prime focal point, other than being spruced up.
Spray-on bed liner is tough enough for a limited amount of abuse and should keep the jack, etc fairly clean and handy. Good luck.
