This is a well known car here in Switzerland. We call it the "Chocolate Marshmellow Dubler Corvette" because it belongs to the owner of a famous chocolate manufacturer. At one time the car belonged to Jo Siffert, a Swiss Formular 1 race car driver who died tragically in 1971. He rented the car out to Steve McQueen for the "Le Mans" Movie.

Thanks for the videolink

Martin

Martin, thanks for the info. I really like that movie Steve McQueen did.

Here's more info on the "Dubler" Corvette. The text is in German and English. Really interesting car because its history is known and it passed through the hands of some celebrities.

do you know the name Curt Wetzel? he raced an purple/blue/white Owens-Corning built C-3 in Germany 1971-72, he is the guy who gave the Porsche factory fits at the 50th anniversary race at the AVUS in Berlin.
