Default order copy

Found the order copy behind the radio when I removed it years ago and thought that since it is an original owner 68 and I knew how it came from the factory I would leave it where I found it. I removed the radio last year to have it repaired and did not find the order copy. I was going to keep it with the owners manual and other original paper work this time. The order copy was not behind the radio. Being a convertible and miles of top down driving, I guess it got blown out. But it stayed there for so many years before I discovered it.

Default Have you ever found anything in your C-3?

This wasn't in my 82, but in the folder of documents from the PO. It's a EPA FUEL ECONOMY ESTIMATES sticker in pretty bad condition. I decoded the VIN (1Z87L8S903113 if I got it right), and believe it's from a 78 pace car.

Door lock key. Under the seat belt retractor cover and under carpet on the pass. side. No way it got there by being dropped in interior. Had to be placed there intentionally. I have owned the car since '81 and had never removed this cover until last year. I called my wife out to the garage and had her try it in the door lock and it worked. mike...

It was a large chunk of steel about the size of the box with pivots and springs at each end that kept the weight centered in the box. I guess the theory was that the weight would try to resist change in direction as the car traveled through a corner. As a result the weight would push against the spring. It is someones idea of a stability control device from the 70's

I inherited my '81 vette from my dad who passed away last year. And in the door pocket I found a picture of a woman who was not my mother. LOL. Possibly someone he was having an affair with because I recognized her, but couldn't put a name to her face. I had met her before many years ago...haha..

My '70 convertible revealed the following:

several cents in coin
a non-functioning laser pointer shaped like a cannon
broken glass bits in the RH door
7/16 socket branded "Wayne" inside the RH door

No jack
No Blonde
No Brunette, and
No Redhead :-(

Shotgun shells.....live ammo. 5 in total.......all around the seat rails. Glad I never adjusted the seats. Discovered this when I removed the stock seats to install some corbeau seats.

Nothing found of any interest in my vette but.... My buddy restored a 69' SS396 L89 Chevelle (solid lifter, 11-1, aluminum heads and 3 barrel holley--YES, 3 barrel).. When he gutted it, he found a bunch of time slips under the seat from the early 70s, some were not legible, some of the folded up ones were..... 13.20s@108 from 1971... Pretty cool..

1980 'vette, couple years ago I was removing the door panels to mess around with the power windows, and when I removed the passenger's side arm rest........yep, you guessed it, a bag-o'-weed! I always thought the armrest felt a little funny, apparently, one of the POs had hollowed it out as a weed stash. Pretty good hiding place, if ya ask me.

do 3 dead mice under the seats count? also found the other stereo remote under there too.
car was sittin for 9 yrs fore i got it n mice had chewed a decent amount of wiring n apparently got into the cab n died under the seats n in the storage compartments. also found a lot of key chains an empty cigarette box n some spare change. does this take the cake for worst findings? also found several socket wrenches stuck to bolts as i started going through the undercarriage. no wonder the socket wrench i was using just kept spinnin on something i couldn't see found 3 in total

Another weed story...but I found it near the through of the gas tank on the other side of the rubber drip tray/seal. A whole bag of it, gas fumes and all.

Nothing in my '71. I did find a pot pipe in the ash tray of the '72 Pontiac LeMans I bough 4 years ago.

In my '70 I found about 5 lbs of pine needles and 3 wasps nests. Found the last wasps nest when I disassembled the old heater parts to install the A/C. I hate those things! You never know if anyone's still home!

A set of red, flame styled, fuzzy dice behind the drivers seat.
No joints yet.

Seriously, though, who knows what that weed could be laced with? Besides, I haven't smoked that stuff in years and years. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!
