Have you ever found anything in your C-3?

When I tore into my 70's doors to clean the lock mechanisms, I found a for sale sign that someone had posted on the window. Nothing really special like that, but.......when I bought the car, I purchased it from a man about 60 miles north of where I live and he said he had the car for about 12 years. Never did tell me where he got the car. The window sticker was from a little town about 10 miles west of me. I still have the sign with the telephone number, I have thought about calling that number a million times.

Haven't found anything in my C3. In other cars I found a set of PT Cruiser keys, numerous pens, Key chain to a 75 Tbird which was another car the PO was selling that I actually almost bought as well, coins, tools, etc.

I also found my blue factory door sticker in my map pocket while I was cleaning up my interior. It must have fallen off and put in there by a PO. Now its back where it belongs!

Did you return them? I'm sure he probably got a replacement set anyway.

In the file of reciepts he gave me, I found a stack of snapshots from the 70's of naked women (and, unfortunately, men too) at a nude beach.

I found an unopened pack of Players filter cigarettes. They didn't have any pictures of diseased lungs, etc. so I think they were there for many, many years. We're thinking of selling them on Ebay as a collectors nostalgia item.

When I bought this 81 4 yrs ago I had the drivers door off the car for hindge replacement. In the drip rail area where the fender and widsheild post meet I saw what looked like the tip of a key. Sure enought. The factory original ignition key for this car. Does not have any wear to it so must have been lost early on.

I bought my 69 vert from a 60 year old guy in Waldorf Md. He had to buy it under is mothers name for insurance purposes. When I first brought it home, we cleaned out all the compartments, took out seats etc. I found a speeding ticket from 1970, a late payment notice in 71 and a vote for John F Kennedy button. All of which are in the documentation for the car now.

items found
I found the origonal T Top bags that the seller said he was going to keep but since he lives in Texas and I live in Mississippi he hasn't said anything. Also found the origonal automatic shifter ball. He had a wood one on it. And a broken corvette key chain.

I found in my '80:
The original T Top bags.
A bit of mouse poop.
About 2 bucks in change.
An 8 track copy of Supertramp's "Breakfast in America" sticking out of the deck.
This one is a bit weird.
A Lotus Europa matchbox car. The reason that this is weird is that I actually owned one of those a while back. A real one that is.

Things I found in my 1974 upon interior teardown:
T-top straps
About $3 in change
I think a old for sale sign
A ton of old cigar boxes, with cigars in them (cigar smoke all over interior pieces, I scrubbed them up and they're good now)
Many old cassettes
Pair of Sunglasses
Mouse nests
Screws/Bolts
A couple of random pieces of metal/plastic
A gold bracelet, one that would have been worn in the 70's!

In my 73....a plastic promo key chain shaped like a tire, a few coins from various years, and mouse nest in the rear cross member.
mouse looks like a 79 or 80...it's all there and restorable. Head matches the frame with one small hole in the body.

Since I'm the original owner on my 69, about 2 years after I bought the car I found a lunch bag and an empty orange drink carton on top of the jack. Probably from the production line.

Almost the same exact story with my 69. I'll call the number, someday!
