Does anyone have instructions on how to remove my 1977 Corvette body off of the frame?

Thanks

If you do a search, this gets mentioned quite a bit:

Noland Adams Body Lift:

This is a 71 restoration that is interesting to look at :

Dolly dimensions, etc:

Do you have to remove it? You're better off if you can do what you want to do with the body on the frame.

Noland Adams has a body lift video and workbook. These are designed for C2s, but the principles are the same for C3s.

I purchased the Nolan Adams DVD and workbook from NCRS. The DVD refuses to play through any chapters and the quality of the video is absolutely terrible!

The workbook is written like a child wrote it. Don't waste your money on either one.

Here are a few links that should help you out:

Hope this helps

It also has pages of useless vendors probably from the 60's when Noland wrote it. It needs a refresh

I kept a fairly detailed thread going when I took the body off my '76.

Perhaps one day I'll have the time to put it all back together again.

Ben

A very nice body off documentary. I got thru the first couple dozen pages. Photos are great and the narrative describes problems encountered and how you worked to solve. Anyone contemplating a body off would be well advised to browse through your log to think thru how best to address body removal with limited space and equipment. Obviously, desire wasn't lacking. Good luck in the future and hope you find that time to re-assemble.

Taking it off is the 'easy' part. Re-assembly is where it gets tricky.
