Default Requirements to attend this forum: Thank you for your input!

Seeing the sometimes overly heated debates between newbies and oldies, I just thought this needed to be addressed.

1. Thick skin.

2. Sense of Humor.

3. Know when to speak up.

4. Know when it's better not to.

5. Buy an AIM for your year.

Most importantly,

6. Have patience with the new members of the forum, they will learn in time as you and I did.

Hi T,
I'm posting this because of a thread from yesterday.
It's a good idea to have a lot of patience with some patients!
I get your point!!!!
Regards,
Alan

PS:I'm a very poor speller. Even with 'Spell Check', when I see the list of possibilities I don't know which one to choose.

Maybe the OP is thinking of #4 since his error in #6 has been pointed out.

I learned years ago to just stop posting. I know it goes against all principles of a forum but when I help someone it is by private messaging.

Skin of an armadillo and I'm working on the humor part as we speak.

Alan, even in the most heated of debates, you always show a unique maturity and calmness to you posts.

Mike, it took me longer to get what you said than I want to admit.

Maybe I should add #7 as "Think before you speak as to not appear Thick Headed!"

I agree, though its hard sometimes to pick up someones emotion from these threads. I think lots of things posted get taken wrong. Hell I work for the public and I have A hard time dealing with different personalitys in person! All in all, the forum is a great place for info, entertainment and flustration! LOL... Even ole Mike Ward.. I know he loves my typing skills, and we have had our rounds on here but i have learned from him. Mike
