Default Headlight mod?

Is it possible to make the headlights shine through the front grill instead of popping up and instead of going with the monza style fixed headlights. I really don't like the look of either of the too. I thought that maybe if I got those new halogen headlights maybe they would be bright enough to shine through the grills? I thought I have heard of somebody doing this before and am looking for some information. Pics are, as always, very welcome.

Thanks for any help

Some don't like the look and some do. Mine had the squared, recessed, but my preference is either pop-up or L88/FIA (round) fixed. I am switching to the later.

To the OPs question, some have done what your referring to. Some have also glassed in the pop-up locations for a smooth hood look.

If memory serves, way, way back Eckler's had a kit which mounted the lights in the grill opening. I can't recall having seen them lately.

I love the sleek look, but with the headlights in the gills, I worry about cooling and loss of air through the radiator.

You should also check with your local law enforcement. Some states will not allow headlights mounted that close to the ground. Causes a lot of glare for oncoming drivers.

Default Cheap option

This is a cheap option. Not the best picture. When the lights are off they are not very noticeable. You could do this for around $50.00. If you want any info on this pm me.

Which means he did a good job concealing the original doors/holes...

I'm doing something in between RollingThunder and flyin free. I'm ging the the bi-xenon projector lights but they will be behind the grills. I might have some pics tomorrow as that is one of the things I plan to assemble on the vette tomorrow.

OOO Im excited to see this! This is the exact thing I want to do. Do the bi xenon lights plug right into the original wiring harness, or is some modification required?

Thanks guys. I did use the original wiring, I just had to change the ends to match the new lights which draw less voltage than the originals
