Default What is the engine vin for 1971 base model

IE: 350ci 270hp "CLJ" engine.

It's not a L46 or a LT1 - so what is it?

ok - now I'm confused.

I googled a sbc ID site and it listed 1971 vette as the only CLJ engine, yet I just googled 73 Camaro after your post and they definitely had a CLJ also.

This info is for a mate of mine who bought a HQ Holden ute that has had an old SBC put in it and we're trying to find out what the engine is from and the specs etc.

Base engine in a '71 Corvette was CJL.

Is your engine CJL or CLJ?

Pretty sure it's CJL (I just mixed up the order in the original post - my mistake)

Yes, that's correct- base engine 270HP, with Qjet and 4 speed.
