I pull the coil wire off. Make a fake coil wire with old extra boot ends and black rubber tubing the same diameter as the wire. How many thief's carry around a coil wire in their pockets?
As stated, if they really want it, they'll use a flat bed. This is where you chain it to a tree if you're really worried.

The chain aint much for bolt cutters.Your best bet is an alarm with a battery backup and a hidden mechanical kill switch. At least you will be alerted to someone trying to tow it off. What ever you do dont mount the brain box for the alarm under the dash above the column.First place they look.I have a screaming *** horn inside the car that would drop a bird from 50feet along with the siren that came with the viper alarm.I cant even sit in it with it going off without putting my fingers in my ears. You can get pressure switches that go under the carpet for a kill switch. You press on the carpet in that one spot and it activates the switch. All that and I dont even park it anywhere but the garage or my friends driveway while visiting.A guns no good if you dont hear them stealing it.They even make prox triggers for when you have the top down and someone reaches in the car with out opening the door.Lots of ways these days.

but the 1911 is a little big to hide, and as we do not have open carry here in FL I need to keep it hidden. Much prefer the glock 36 as my carry around choice.

Remove the coil wire and disconnect the battery are two I use as anything else is a waste of time......that just prevents the engine from running. The smart *** bastards use a 'stinger on the back of a repo pickup and gone in 30 seconds......
