Default edelbrock carb issues

Hey guys
I have an edelbrock carb on my 80 thats not working
Car wont start but if i run the fuel line into it and start it up it runs fine.
I pulled the top off and noticed the float was stuck...loosened it up,reassembled and it fired right up....today....same thing..wont start.
Should i rebuild or buy new?
I dont even know where to find the model number on it?
Anyone??

If I remember right model number should be stamped on front face of mounting flange. Can check tonight when I get home.

Sometimes the needle seat breaks down and get a little sticky. Moving it might(like you did) will help for a while be it will go back to not functioning fairly quick.

Just replace the float needle valve and all should be fine.

As I thought the model number is on the right front mounting flange. It will be a number like 1403 1404 etc.

Don't klnow where you are located. Some of our Napa Stores and some speed shops have these things in stock. Just a thought.
