Last pictures before body goes on
I had to catch up on my documentation so I figured I might as well post some pictures.
Its a numbers matching engine but I couldn't resist to turn it into a 383.
Anything you see is rebuilt or new. Including the original radiator. (except for the original 7inch wheels. There I bought 68' 8inch wheels.
Anything black is powder.
Way too much work, way too much money! My goal is to finish paint in September and to be driving it next spring.
Hey, if anyone sees anything wrong, let me know. But constructive criticism only!

Hi AW,
WELL! Those pictures show a great looking chassis and running gear. Anyone who's done one knows where the money and time goes!
It appears the p/s belt is missing but perhaps it's on by now. (I wrote that so you'd know I really looked.)
Are you having FUN?
Regards,
Alan
PS: I'd perhaps paint the shocks gray only because I don't like to see advertising when I look under a car.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this...but....that chassis is just way too nice to cover up with an old car body.

Hey, I feel your pain, I'm in the thick of it too. Looks great . Just noticed on the left side engine pic, number 5 header pipe isn't blued like the others, how did you do that.

Hi AW,
I found I could walk away for a week or two or even three if I had to. Sometimes I'd be having such problems or such bad results that I just needed to close the door. That's part of the reason my car took so long.
I found there were so many things to learn how to do ( taking pictures, organizing thousands of parts and fasteners, cleaning the garage, plating, seat covers, body work, assembly with out marring anything, etc.) that I could switch off to something different when I had to.
It is quite an experience!!!!
Regards,
Alan

Very Nice...
I was surprised to see your radiator installed. I installed my rad after lowering the body.
Watch the mufflers when lowering the body. The body kind of wraps around the mufflers and it is close.
good luck

Yes, me too. I would think you would want that rad support on the body to strengthen the nose. Very nice job.

I'm with you on that Alan, too much at once will kill the desire. I don't know how Stinger does it. I've done a ton of house reno's since November and it is now finally bothering me that the car isn't done. Working away at it right now. The OP should be happy with his results. Just curious, did the OP dyno his motor?
