it might be because there were only an average 30000 vettes made each year . while the camero production was 4 or 5 times larger .
or maybe the think all camero owners fix all of there cars which is

It is because I have owned 4 3rd gen f-bodies and have a 82 corvette. The f-body doesn't come close to a vette in any aspect.

How bout this ......... I dont know of many Camaro guys that like ANY Corvettes not just C-3's they dont like Corvette owners either !!!

Always was a poor mans vette & always will be, 2 different buyers in 2 different leagues !!! The Corvette was always twice the price of a Camaro & still is !!!

I own both. I can't say which I love the most though. Actually,...I'm over on the Z28 site a LOT and had never ehard anyone bashing teh C3 Vettes.

thats a good point 76vet and now that you meantion it i have never heard anyone bag a vet on that forum either.....but, i am seeing alot of camaro bagging going on just in this thread so perhaps its swinging the other way around and this title might be more appropriate why do c3 corvette guys dislike everyone else ....come on cant we just beat up on fords like everyone else?

Corvettes are rather unique, nothing like them. Camaros are quite similar to Firebirds which could be classed with Mustangs, etc. Ford had the T-Bird in the 50's but evolved it into something else.

I personally prefer the early Camaro styles. 69 is probably my favorite. Really a matter of
taste. So far as bashing goes, rather immature. I'd guess for some reason the 'basher' feels a need to somehow elevate their ride relative to the Vette? If you don't care for some other brand or model, just don't say anything. Nothing to be gained.

I got an ole '49 GMC 1/2 ton truck in the shop in pieces and it cant compare to a comaro or a corvette but Damn she sure is going to be a nice ride when I'm done...

Actually, I thought about this one a little more, and I can kind of understand where some people could be coming from on this. There are a lot of "Corvette guys" (me included) who generally just want to keep their car essentially stock and enjoy it for what it is. I can see how some folks who are big into performance, or racing etc. would look at me as "not a car guy", more of a "car owner", because just fixing what's broke and driving it around is the same thing every other bloke with a car does. Of course, I think of myself as a car guy because I choose to own a 40 year old car, when I could easily have bought a new car with the money I spent on it, and I choose to continue to work on it, improve it and maintain it when it would be a lot easier to just take my new car to the mechanic for an oil change every 3 months. To each their own I guess.

My whole introduction to "Chevreligion" came from a 70 Z28 Camaro owned by a good friend, I was finished with my MOPAR drag cars after one scary high speed run through a winding 2 lane canyon road in that car.

I think 70-72 Z28 Camaros are way undervalued and one of my favorite steel cars.
