I have looked and looked... and all I can find is the standard old ugly black under hood insulation.... but the C4-5-6 guys have all this cool custom under hood insulation....

is their any options for us?

Someone posted a while ago on this site that they custom paint the insulation with a bunch of different pics. It might be worth trying the search tab and trying that.

The hood insulation for our vetts is flimsly to say the most.... It would have to be a custom pad as well or any airbrushing would be gone very fast.

When I saw a previous post from dmeesq on his hoodliner, I got one myself. I was looking for one and to me, this one looked like the best option.

Thank you very much! Finally got my car back on the road. Been a "work in very slow progress" since November of 2007. I have a bunch more pics if you click the link in my sig. Also, got a lot of compliments on the hood liner at the show I took it to last Friday night.

It looks nice on yours but wouldn't do too much for my hood as the cold air box takes up much of the underside.

Can you all tell me how much heat protection this provides?

Also 3M 80 spray adhesive is not available in Canada, so does anyone have an alternative solution?

Thanks

Didn't know the insulation was for heat protection ...
I thought it was for engine sound deadening ... wrong?

Hi

It will also insulate the hood and its paint from heat.
I saw paint blisters on hoods because of car shows hood open and the sun shining on the chrome air intake filter and back up onto the underside of the hood burning it in one spot .

The insulation material is very thin, that's why it takes the form of the hood so perfectly . I got it as well, but haven't installed it yet.

Will be done this winter.

Hey, that's lookin' pretty nice & clean. BTW .... Since we're on the Subject of what's on the Underside of your Show Car Hood. I've got a '72 & it never came with hood insulation. Soooooo ..... Here's what's on the underside of my Stock Hood !

Ipurchased one of these some time back and finally installed it, I opted not to use the decal at the last minute but the rest of it is just awesome, it makes the underside of the hood look tons better.

I have unfortunately got one little bubble that I have to fix
