Default My favourite picture

Everybody has their #1 absolute favourite picture of their car I guess. Here's mine, taken in the winner's circle at the Texas Motor Speedway in 2001. This was enroute to Galveston Island as part of the NRCS road tour to the National Convention. The total distance round trip was over 5200 miles, absolute blast! It was only after I got the pic back from the photographers did I notice the bullet holes in the backdrop.

I was thrilled to see my car was placed front row centre in the group photo taken the same day. This photo was published in the NCRS Restorer magazine a month or two later.

I could see all the lint on the camera lens while waiting a few minutes for the picture to shrink down, lol.

That's the standard Corvette bright yellow code 952, a one year only offering. The first year C6 has an almost identical yellow. Here's a side by side with a very early demo car.

Gorgeous car Mike....I think some YJ-8's on her would not do her any harm.

Stay in tune....

Yes, somewhere around 143,000 miles total, so that's about 33,000 since a frame off in 1996-97. It's starting to show a few scars as you may have noticed.

Very nice, Mike

Have you thought about putting a chrome front bumper on it?
