From Red To Steel Cities Gray 988
Well I decided to bring the 71 back to it's original color, also going to
tidy up under the hood since it's a three owner car with all the paper work back to the original owner.
So I went with a shop that has an impeccable reputation here are some pics.

Sorry side pipes are going by by. I figure if I am going to bring it back to original color I might as well put all the original parts back on.
Hi Roy thanks can't wait either are you going to any shows or cruises this weekend.

Hi TJ,
As much as I'm a fan of Red, it'll be great to see another car go back to Steel Cities Gray.
If your car needs to be away from home at least it's surrounded by GOOD company!
Regards,
Alan

RAGTOP post a pic of that gorgeous vert and
Alan I only saw one 988 car last year at Carlisle and as much as I like red
I bought this car because 988 is a beautiful color especially the way the light hits it. Wish I could have one in every color.

Body men are invincible. Sanding without a mask and smoking. Wow. But you car will be smoking when you get it back. Perhaps you can share the agreed work, the actual work and the prices.

Hey Louie, you already started up a thread!!!
Well, Louie wanted his car changed back to the original color, and contacted us to do it.
We went and picked up the vette in New York, and promptly started working on it.
The car has a few issues that need to be worked out, but in the end it will be sweet!!
And dont worry about the side pipes, they are still very nice. A little dust wont hurt them.
I already started doing some of the body work (as you can see)to get the car straight like it should be.
My goal is to have the car ready for Carlisle. I will do my best to make that happen.
So there it is. I will post pics here and there of our progress as we go along.

So that if you catch a car with a color you truely despise, you can change the tag to the color you wish it was born with?
My '68 was that pale (Safari?) Yellow and I just don't like it.

I have a few pics of my SSG vert in my albums in my profile. I had my 79 wheels on it for a few weeks for fun. It's back to the rallys now.
