Default My New Vette is older than my Old Vette

First a few pictures of my OLD '76 Vette

Now for my "NEW" '74 Vette

I hope I have met all the rules about new Vettes requiring pictures.

I know the rear end is not from a '74. Can anyone tell me what year it is?

I will. Those pictures were taken within 5 minutes of me getting it home. Unfortunately, there are already some small milky spots in it, but I don't think anyone will be able to see them if I go fast enough.

Why the switch from 76 to 74? It's not an originality thing and they're both automatics. Even the color is close. Why the change?

Not a switch. I need to have one to drive while I work on the other. All work and no play isn't good for you.

I have to agree with you. Looks like you picked up a nice one. Which one is to drive and which one is to work on?

So now, this makes you a collector, of classic automobiles. That's how I got started.

I'm thinking I'll work on the '74 and drive the '76 since I already have plates and insurance on it. I'm hoping I can get cheap insurance since it won't be driven at all for a while. I'm going to talk to my agent tomorrow.

I never understood those damn bra things, they protect the frontend from rock chips and all, but they look so ugly. I would rather get a few chips then have that horrible thing on the front.
