the car came from massachuset where the pervious owner bought it in 1980 i have a copy of the last title he then move to california and shipped the car out. i bought the car and had her shipped back east. so mostly the car is a east coast car.

I saw the Corvette Mike tag and thought it might have come from Ca.
I pass Corvette Mike a couple of times per week and always look to see what's sitting out front.
The car looks great, enjoy it.

Very nice car indeed.
Is it an early production car? I noticed it does not have the crossed flags on the fenders.
I have a 77 L-82 4 speed also. Mine has the flags, but it is a very late production car, build date of August 10th.
I love the color combo on yours.

the owner had corvette mike sell the car for him in ca. it was at corvette mike's store thats how i found it. i had it shipped back east last weekend. the car is a early production car build date D 10 (11-10-76) i like the cross flags on the finders but it is what it is early models didn't have them. yea i like the silver with red interior

It is an early production '77 w/o the crossed flag emblems; also notice that it has the early for '77 brushed aluminum horn button, which was discontinued rather early in the production year. Definitely early production. Mine is a March production car & has the crossed flag emblem on the side as well as the alarm key. Congrats, very nice & scarce '77 L-82!! You should consider this car for NCRS / Bloomington judging.

You really should purchase a '73 - '77 NCRS judging manual & start seeing what, if anything has been changed on the car. It will need to be all original with all the correct GM OEM parts & date codes; this manual will be able to help you determine this. It looks to be very original down to the original paint. How does the frame look? It having been a northern east coast car & having spent the biggest part of its life there, I'd definitely get under there & see if there are any rust issues. Hopefully, the frame is as clean as the rest of the car. Additionally, I hope the original selling dealer didn't undercoat the frame because if they did, all of this will have to removed for NCRS judging! Mine was undercoated (originally a Chicago, IL car) & it took me over a year to remove 40+ pounds of the crud....and yes, I saved all of it, just for fun! Again, a very nice example of a '77 L-82 4 speed & one to be proud of. Also, I'd think twice before I started loading up the miles.....the lower the mileage, the more it will be worth down the road.......did you get any original documentation with the car? Any of this would be a definite plus, especially the original window sticker/ dealer invoice and/or the assembly line build sheet.

yes i'm going to get a 73-77 NCRS judging manual to check everything. the frame looks good a little surface rust hear and there but for the most part good no under coating, tried to get the window sticker but he said he didnt have it, i have some documentions but i'm still trying to get more. like i said before this guy had it since 1980 he bought her from a collector who had one of every c3 made for the most part the car was in califorina most of it life. away i guess i'll haft to look for the build sheet i'll drive this car a little but for the most part she'll sit, my 02 c5 just turn 7000miles and most of those were put on the first 2 yrs.

Hello Jay. One thing I saw about our cars is shown in these pics.. Mine has the wiring in a plastic conduit, yours are bare wires. This may very well be the differance in early vs. late '77s. Mine is very late '77, build date on my frame is 6-6-77 and was within the last 500 '77s built. So far the only engine compartment differances I have noticed. Congrats. on the car the guys seem to really like it and I am wishing mine had a 4sp. mds...

i do like a 4 sp gear box, all of my vettes have been manual gear box but if this car would have been a auto i would have still bought her just because it was a L82 with low milage. look like the the solonoid on the fire wall is mounted different behind the wries u were talking about. also look like the wires i have would be too short to run the driction ur's are running. it things like that i'll look into to make sure everything is correct, yr to date. thanks for all the compliments on my 77 L82 and thanks for helping me to post my picture so i could share this car with everybody
