Picture of how horizontal channel attaches to side window glass??
My hardware, attaching the horizontal channel to the window glass, is not original. I have scoured the AIM for a picture of correct sequence of plastic bushings, rubber washers, nuts, etc and havent found anything.
Does someone have a good photo of how it all correctly goes together? I have a kit of new plastic components, but it didnt come with any instructions.
Both windows on my car were assembled differently (PO in the past I would have to assume), otherwise I would use a "correct" one as an example for reassembly.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,
Either I don't have a picture or I can't find it.
This page is from the 71 AIM. I think it shows clearly enough what fasteners go where. If you have a question someone may be able to answer.
Regards,
Alan
PS: I see now that HD has posted some pictures. I think the AIM calls out what is a bolt, washer, bushing and nut.

Thanks for the AIM page! I couldnt find it in my AIM because I had removed it for the impending "window job". I didnt notice the page #'s skipped a page!!
Now to go hunt down the missing page! I KNEW I had seen it somewhere in the AIM previously...
Its a Bitch getting old!!!
Thank you sir!

Hi Rob,
I'm VERY old these days.
Note that the track varies SLIGHTLY from end to end. The 'longer' flat area goes on the rear of the window. I'm not sure why? Maybe so you can get the roller/slide on and off the track with the end mounting nut in place? There was a question about this a couple of weeks ago.

Alan
