Mordern accessories for C3?
What would be your best modern accessory for the C3, if you could only have one?
I'm torn between fuel injection and anti-lock brakes. But driver and pass. side airbags wouldn't be bad.

If I only had one choice, it would be a Keisler 5-spd. If I could choose 2, then a Keisler 5-spd and EZ-EFI fuel injection.
HOWEVER, I already have a GM 350/330 HO crate engine, long-tube ceramic headers, true dual exhaust, front and rear composite spring with gas-charged shocks, power rack & pinion steering (Steeroids), Hydroboost brakes, electric headlight actuators, 18x8 wheels/tires, and bonded bumper covers.
WARNING: You are on the edge of a slippery slope to a really nice resto-mod.

However, if you having a complete car is important, then you should have those things. They just aren't important to me. I will spend my time and money on other issues with my Corvette.

my priority list for the most important upgrades for a C3 :
1- C4/5 suspension.
2- Hydroboost brakes.
3- Rack and penion steering
4- fuel injection
5- Overdrive transmission
6- Seats.
7- Stereo (in case you dont have a side pipes).

For me it is
OD transmission - Done
Fuel injection - Done
Hydroboost brakes - Done
Steeroids - Done
Better suspension - Done
Comfy seats - Done
Many other small items - mostly done
Custom Frame with modern suspension and LS power - In the far future, college expenses coming up

Actually, I'm pretty happy with my 69. I've put in electronic ignition, a DeWitts fan set-up, new suspension. It runs and rides very well. I guess I'd say modern seats if I had to pin point something. I never would, but I couldn't imagine taking this on a 6 hour roadtrip, my back couldn't take it. While these seat aren't horrible, compared to my H3, it's like sitting on a rock!

Throttle body EFI that looks like a Q-jet...
1. EFI/computer
2. O.D. 4-speed auto tranny w/lockup
3. anti-lock brakes (w/ OFF switch)
4. better seats
5. air bags in steering wheel and passenger dash.

My only concession to stock on my 68 was a modern stereo and radial tires. If I want modern I drive the C5.

OD trans is tops on my list. I'd also like to have fuel injection, electric fans and keyless entry door locks. I do already have a nice stereo system, otherwise that would be tops on the list.

So far I have changed my 1980 with...
House of Kolor cu$tom paint
C4 seats/ custom interior
road racing suspension/adjustable gas shocks
ported ZZ4
TPI fuel injection
Keisler TKO-500 5 speed
serpentine belt
twin electric fans
aluminum radiator
CD
SSBC Force 10 aluminum calipers/slotted rotors
17" TTII wheels
gauges
I forget...
etc.
The 2 best mods were the fuel injection and the larger wheels, with the motor and tranny a close 3rd. The difference in handling with the larger wheel/tire combo was amazing, and the reliability and torque from the FI was great in a mostly street driven car.

When my "81" is completely built I will surely get a modern radio CD player made for my year, other than that it will stay completely factory stock including the spare. (just had to throw that in)

I've done more mods then I care to write down, but the best yet that I've been very happy with this the Hydrobooster set-up. This thing stops on a dime and with very little effort.
