Default What do these driveshafts fit????

I have three drive shafts and am trying to figure out the year/ engine/ transmission application.
#1—Approx. 31” overall length without yoke and 2” in diameter
#2—Approx. 31” overall length without yoke and 2 1/2” in diameter
#3—Approx. 28” overall length without yoke and 2” in diameter
Can anybody help????
These are drive shafts not half shafts.
Thank you

Just getting ready to open up an exchange program on retubed half shafts and drive shafts with the correct blue weld.
I would like to be absolutely sure the of application as there does not seem to be a clear definition between the 2" and 2 1/2" drive shaft applications.
All mid years used a 2" driveshaft. Then where does the 2 1/2" driveshafts come into a picture??
The half shafts are not a problem.
Always willing to step back and learn

How would we know?

Why would we know?

Why would we care?

Which brings up the question.....Why would you ask a discussion forum in the first place?????

I have an answer. They fit a universal joint on both ends.

But seriously, I would think the larger diameter of the 2 31" units would be for a higher horsepower application (like a big block). The shorter unit may be for a different transmission like auto vs. manual. Maybe someone on here can take measurements for comparison.

#3- I can tell you is what is in my '68 manual trans small block. I believe the '68 big blocks also came with 2" drive shafts.

I believe you are 100% right. I have 2" shafts out of 69 cars that were marked 69 and are 2"
The problem is I also have 25 2 1/2" shafts that I cannot pin down when they started in production
