Default 1978 SA at $22K. They can't be serious!

Only on craigslist -

http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/1420461305.html

New crate motor. New interior. New this. New that. Too many NEW parts - no original character left. Sad.

the price does seem high when compareing to other similar vettes in America. if you looked on Ebay in Australia, would would see that the price is about avarage for that vette!!!

We pay much to much for vettes in Australia, you guys are so lucky

Just curious as to how much a 78 Silver anniversary is worth. Mine has 77,000 original documented miles when you open the door it is like opening a time capsule. Everything works and is in close to mint condition. I paid 10,500 for it.

Some 'fool' thought that replacing a lot of [expensive] parts would help it sell better. WRONG!!!

My uncle owned a tire dealership in Georgia and bought a 78 SA and had the car rolled off the transport into a specially constructed room where it sat until about 10 years ago. The car had 3.9 miles on it when he offered it up for sale for $25,000. I know he sold it but don't know if he got his asking price.

A car can have only 3.9 miles on the odometer once. Another can have all kinds of stuff replaced over and over and mileage will still be a major factor to a buyer.
46K on my SA when I picked it up and it was very original, which is the main reason I Bought it.
