Default The Wave

Has anybody else noticed that C6 drivers can be a little snooty about the wave? C2 drivers, too, but not so much.

And C5...and C4...

Not to disparage any of these folks, but there is a generation of Corvette drivers out there who do not know the meaning of the wave.
I wave anyway. A return wave is nice, but not getting one doesn't keep me from doing it.

The C6 drivers probably don't know that you are driving a corvette.

One fun activity is to sit in front of the computer and count how many days it takes before someone posts a "they didn't wave at me" thread, regardless of the generation.

Generally a day or 2 between threads is tops.

I don't get to do the wave yet :-(

Unless that is, I am on my motorcycle. Some day though maybe I will get to do the wave along with the rest of you!

As a kid I grew up in a single parent household. Our (Dad and I) family cars consisted primarily of C3's. Back then it was a game to see who could wave first. I really didn't even know why I was waving other than thinking my dad had alot of friends that coincidentally had the same kind of cars as ours. It was also very unusual if you didn't get one in return. Not so much anymore from what I've noticed as well. Same as Easy Mike though, I just keep on wav'in.

First give the 5 finger wave. If you don't get one back, give the one finger wave.

In south Florida the wave is mostly the older vetts, cruising, tops down, widows open. Most c5 @ c6 buttoned up tight, hard to see them wave if they do.Same thing when out in my 90 Jeep Wrangler,no top no doors. All older Jeeps wave, newer Jeeps buttoned up tight. ragtag
