The C3 used 3 windshields:

68-72,
73-77,
78-82.

Many , Many thanks!
I needed this info, I thought just that but could not back it up,
The 78-82 extend way low,

Now the next big question, will a 73-77 windshiled fit into a 68-72 car?
My gues is 68-77 will interchange, they are different along the bottom I am guessing but will all swap out,

So will they swap?

I do not know, the bottoms are the portion that differ, due to cowl design changes.

You could ask for a couple of members to make a heavy paper (like a vinyl floor guy makes templates with, sold at Home Depot and other places)template of their windshield and mail it to you. be very easy to lay it on the existing windshield or in the opening and answer this question of yours!

Ozzy,
You know how long winded I get and I was trying to keep it simple, so as not to confuse,
But let me go a bit deeper,

I had an 81 and tried to install a wiper door on it, ( old school custom project ) the hinges fit and even bolt in, but because of the lower "area" of the windshield it wouldn't work, what a mess I made,

You said the cowl changed , it was way way different on the 81, it had special area for special things only found on the later cars,

I believe some fellow out there has both a wiper door and a 73-75 that he can place that wiper door on and see if it will open, I just havent ran into that person yet,
at this point I dont see how or why but I do wonder if down low the curve and rake of the windshield was different 68-72

Default C3 profiling

I am building a 75 and found out the hard way they made a glass floor car early 75 and switched to a steel floor car somewhere during the production of the 75. Know what you got if your doing an every nut and bolt restoration.
