If someone is so stupid they need to be told to not text while driving, telling them will have no effect because they are so stupid.

Apparently here in Ontario there is a $500.00 fine for cellphone use or texting while driving...how is that going to be enforced...

I`ll only use it for an emergency ( that`s what they all say ) then the stupid parents buy it ... and not only that but they pay the bill for usage.

PARENTS JUST SAY NO!!!!

I was following a Surburan this afternoon and it was all over the road - including taking a left hand turn into the wrong way lane. My first thought was that it was drunk driver at 1 in the afternoon. At the next light I pulled up next to it and glanced over - the driver was texting the entire time.

Old farts, remember when your main worry on the road when taking the Vette out was some drunk slamming into you?.....

Now that drunk is sober, much more common and just as dangerous.........

you can buy these jammers all day long, just wire it to an ignition source, you can get one powerful enough to give you a "bubble" of unavailability, so just work inside the car.

The only good thing I can say about those on cells is they are easy prey if your trying to make time on the interstate.

it doesnt matter, people are going to do what they want. until the consequences are so terrible for getting caught that it makes the risk outweigh the benefit it is going to happen.

people think nothing is going to happen to them. no one plans for the crash. its like motorcycle riders saying, i never crash and then get hit by another car.

even in states where it is illegal, the cops will have to actually enforce it. i say give cops a bonus for every cell phone driver or texter.

that will put a quick stop to it all. the FCC wont allow any sort of jammer on the civilian side. its a shame too.

Paul, I have seen one person texting while riding their motorcycle!! Imagine that.

Texting while driving is a common thing. It must be very addictive. I don't see the attraction to it. I mean it is just as easy to call the other person in my opinion.

We were driving down to Carlisle from Canada and about half way down some dumb bitch was swerving all over the left lane in her Mazda and wouldn't leave the left lane. She had here little dog hanging out the drivers side window and was on the cell phone! Do some people have a death wish?
