Default ECKLER'S is messed up or not honest !

Gents

Maybe someone in here can help me get them to find out what's the problem
I reside 30hrs away.

July 21 2009 spoke with Ed and placed the order.
1980 rear camber struts /in stock
1980 Power steering hoses / in stock
1980 PS valve (new) / in stock
Was given an ORDER# and to be shipped out within the next day or so. An automatic e-mail to be sent with tracking number.
Amount of order approx $500 to my credit card.
Very important for me to know when it will reach destination since its going to the US/CAN border UPS store. They will hold the package and send it back if not picked up.

July 24th 2009
Still no e-mail !
Spoke with Jessica. She advised that the order is packed up and ready to be shipped out today. I will receive an auto e-mail.

July 27th 2009
Still no e-mail !
Spoke with Linda. She advised as above and couldn't understand what was holding the order to be shipped out.

July 28th 2009
Still no e-mail !
Spoke with Lisa. Now she was puzzled. I was put on hold and she went to consult with supervisor. Again I'm being reassured that it will be shipped out immediately and will get an email to confirm....

July 31st 2009
Spoke with Ed.
Still no e-mail ! Ed is also confused and will look into the matter.
He advised that he will send an e-mail to Warehouse 4miles down the road....

What's going on ?????
I'm being patient but the sad part is my credit card is billed $500 and my items are not even on the road yet !

Its seem NOBODY understands the problem and can't figure it out

Is there anyone here that has a good connection with ECKLER'S that can put me in contact with him.
Need someone to get the ball goin' !!!!!

My E-mail address was confirmed.
Their system apparently indicates that the parcel is ready to go.
But its stuck there

If they don'y have it in stock, they can just tell me. No problem.




Anyone can help me ?

Sorry that I cannot help but will say that I have had problems with them in the past with B/O paid for then not shipped for 2 months. Took several phone calls and found items were in stock for over a month.

That is why I use Willcox Corvette in Indiana - very best service and usually best price.

I have had almost the same exact experience with them as what you just described.

I don't do buisness with them anymore.



Next time try Wilcox, I have had nothing but good experiences with them!

I can understand the situation, but I do not see any evidence of dishonesty on Eckler's part. Based on your post, everyone you've contacted has tried to be helpful.

Then their inability to resolve the problem on multiple tries, by several different people would logically lead us to believe that their system is somehow flawed by design???!!!

cancel the order.... order from somewhere else..... just do it so we don't have another pointless thread on bashing.. i think everyone has there own stand on certain vendors

"Dishonest" is maybe not the proper word.
After all the phone calls and dealing with different reps everytime, someone could extend a bit more to find out what is going wrong.

All have been proffessional and polite and have admitted that the problem is at their end.
I'm assuming they have a "log" of the phone calls conversations and obvioulsy the problem is not being resolved....

Not being vendictive. Just seeking for some assistance.

He told you what to do(what he or I would no one likes being told what to do) that is help Cancel the order and place it with some company that gives a shi1. if you watch the posts at all you would see wilcox answers there own E mail. almost right away. I havent seen Eckjokers answer anything.

have them S P E L L the email on file they have for you, back to you.

many times the order taker who typed it in can get an email wrong.

especially if it's like Gerdemund.Worcester@hibernian.cloitus.ne t

Just for future reference, one of our "favorite" suppliers around the forum (mentioned in another currently running thread) NEVER charges my credit card until the parts have been shipped. At least thats been my experience from Norm and Tommy (not to name names)

Good luck with them. I have NEVER ordered anything from Eckler's, only because I have found needed parts elsewhere at better prices (not to name names!)

Didn't mean to start a thread to critizise ECKLER'S.
I was hoping for a Forum Member that would be an approved ECKLER'S REP to look into the matter.

After speaking with a rep. I requested him to take a walk down to the shipping counter and physically find my parcel and confirm why its stuck there.
HE explained to me that the shipping warehouse is few miles away from his location. I think this is where the communication breakdown took place.....

I've sent an e-mail to customer service and explaining the situation.

They responded almost immediately telling me that there's a hose missing and they are waiting to get it before sending out the order.
That makes sense

Why couldn't the 4 reps I have been dealing with tell me that ?

Ahhh well !

ALL REPS WERE NICE TO ME AND VERY PROFFESIONAL but none could provide me with an answer

At least now I know why its being held up.....

I would never deal with Ecklers again because of similar problems, they will tell you this part in stock and ready to shipped, and when they get your $$$, they will let you wait for weeks because all of a sudden, that part is no longer in stock and is back ordered!

They are all the same. I've had good and bad experiences with almost all the big vendors.

I purchased my parts from Wilcox and had no problems.As previously mentiond in thread best prices and service.They were also good on a return that was my error and not theirs.Corvette Central was pretty good also.Never dealt with Ecklers and after reading this thread,probably never will.

To answer your basic question,, I don't see how anybody here on this forum can help unless there is an ecklers customer service rep on this forum... no one else can help... If I tried to call them for you they would not discuss your account with me.. I would hope that they wouldn't....
I have never had a negative experience with them.. things have arrived days later than I expected... but that happens everywhere...

I think you are getting the classic sales stall action, due to the parts not actually being in their inventory.

The stall is to cover this possiblity and give them extra time, so you don't cancel your order. Management is probably advising the employees to respond to you in this manner.

If you look at it from them not having the full inventory for your order, it makes sense.

Someone once told me the way they deal with the vendors was to call them and ask for an inventory check on your part before you even talk about placing an order.

i just ordered 3 items with ecklers. 2 out of 3 came within days of order. i also never had a problem with them so far.....
