It's a laughable situation because the car is really worth nothing. What parts you could salvage would have to be restored.

Somebody is in for a rude awakening if they buy that poor poor car. I hope some level of satisfaction was achieved from watching it rot because there will be zero financial gain from the remains.

Safety Car
Someplace near Big Cedar lake outside of West Bend. I talked more to the person at work about the car. The doors are frozen shut and the handles are stuck down (probably from the car trying to fold up with no frame) Apparently, the woman who owns the car is moving and that is the only reason she is now parting with the car. Apparently she got the $18K number in her head but plans on actually getting MORE for the car! Owner says it will be on ebay in the near future. The auction should be a good laugh so if you see it online, please post it up into this thread.

a properly date coded 454 and muncie and rear pumpkin would sell for 3-4k, if it had the correct manifolds and quadrajet.. a couple grand for the clip, glass would bring alot, you could maybe part out the major pieces for a total 8-9K, a complete wiper mechanism would go for a grand... the big block hood?.. another 700.....the rest would just take up space and be hauled away.. you could maybe buy it for 9K ( if it was all correct and complete). you might break even with a whole bunch of labor to show for it...
I'd buy it for 3K, only if complete and correct...

Pro Team will buy it and next thing you know there will be another video series about "The Only LS7 Corvette". They'll send it to the Nabers Brothers to restore and sell at B-J for $3 Mil.

don't walk away from that corvette......RUN<RUN<RUN forest unless you can get it for under 1k and you could part it out and not lose money that way if it was to far gone, which it looks like....frame would be 3k + alone before labor to do etc. if outside looks like that what do you think inside of engine, trans, rear are like...yikes !!

Melting Slicks
Might have been good 20 years ago when your friend first tried to get it.
That poor car.
Sitting on grass nothing is going to survive a couple of years let alone 20, tell your friend to run as fast as he possibly can away from it.
That is criminal.

Hey, the ex-wife got to enjoy watching that car rot away while the ex-husband could only grimace in pain. That's what she wanted....couldn't care less that a C3 was "goin' South". Hey, I got off easy...my ex just wanted to keep my stereo, hand tools and floor jack! [what she did with them, I'll never know....]
