Default Ever been a Bubba?

I have to confess.. had to get the windows working tonight and the part stores didnt have a relay to work as a replacement for me.. Ended up doing a 2 wire direct power solution with a 5amp fuse as a temp fix till I get one in.. Looks "okay" but works just fine.

Any of you guys have to pull a bubba on your vette, even if it was just a temp job like this?

see another post ' 9.00$ shipping for a 2.50$ part'... you are putting something together with your dash apart and you break a clip or something.... so do you order it and have your car down for over a week and pay all that for the part or do you mend it together with wire and jumpers?... I will take the wire and jumpers... put the part on my list to eventually buy and next time I have it all apart.. maybe a year later..

Have a 72 coupe. The front turn signal lenses I had were clear. Rather than pop for new orange lenses (correct for 72) I found some transparent orange paint (its supposed to make aluminum look anodized). Two coats and they looked darn good, so they are still there, pretending to be correct.

I used to be the king of 'Bubba'. There wasn't much information about the Gen III/IV conversions back in 03 so I had to inprovise. If it wasn't for this website I would probably be dead due to too much "Bubba" inprovements.

My favorite Bubba memory is when my grinder died about 9pm when I was trying to cut a hole for the new six speed tranny I just bought. I couldn't go get a new grinder so I just drilled about 367 holes and hammered it out.

I am Bubba.....

It's only 'Bubba' if you don't fix it right later.
Ductape doesn't count.
