Default do you do this?

wife thinks im nuts because today i spent about 2 hours under car on ramps wiping down everything. its all new looking under car and i want to keep it that way. figure its easier to keep it clean this way instead of letting it get too far outta hand. i do this once a year. does anyone else do this?

Yep, that's part of owning an old car.

Just because I enjoyed your response last time.

Imagine you're a deer. You're prancing along, you get thirsty, you spot a little brook, you put your little deer lips down to the cool clear water... BAM! A friggin bullet rips off part of your head! Your brains are laying on the ground in little bloody pieces! Now I ask ya. Would you give a damn how clean the underside of the SOB's Vette is?

I do it all the time. Sure makes it alot easier since I bought a 4 post lift for the garage last year. Now I can stand up and do it.

It is crazy when you think about it but once the car has had a frame off it's kind of hard to let get all cruddy again.

I have about 75 hours under mine this winter and still have 10 hours left untill I'm done. Scraped the crud from 35 years and painted with rustbullet. So next time I'll just have to wipe it down and touch it up so this will be worth it.

Anytime I see one of your pictures it reminds me of that day.

This is after a body off 19 years ago.

Some of you guys have way to much time and energy.

I wipe just the bottom of the motor area whenever I change oil or something like that. Never make just a special trip to clean though. It needs it though.

What would she say if you washed, waxed, cleaned under your 1986 Murray riding mower, and put Armor All on the tires?

I have six single and twin post racks in each of my two shops. And no engine in my car to drive it to either one! Cant wait to get that BB in there! Then I can drive it in so I can align it and detail under it real good.
