Default Shifter **** Options for Automatic Trans?

All the searches I did turned up shifter ***** for a manual trans, which doesnt have the push-button.. Are there any other direct replacment options besides a round **** for those of us with automatics?

I haven't seen many, I have a chrome one to replace the black one.

After all, chrome makes you go faster....

I agree - anytime you can replace a piece of plastic with real metal & chrome you've accomplished something (not to mention pickup a few extra HP) I'm going to order me one of those chrome ***** also. Sorry, haven't seen ant other options.

Might not be to your taste but here's another option.

Go to Summit or Jegs and do a key word search. "Automatic shifter ****" There are several choices like Lokar and others.

I have the chrome ball for mine also. I switch it back and forth every now and then with the stock one.

Here is an old pic, before the C5-Z06 seat install.

It is a chrome shifter set-up with a Redline 2inch taller shift boot done in black leather with red stitching. Matches nicely with my Z06 seats

I checked with Lokar but they wont fit the early c3 automatics.. So far the only options I can come up with that will be a direct fit are the pictures in the above posts but I'm looking for something a little more extreme/fancy to match the rest of my interior mods. They seem to make a ton of aftermarket ***** for the C4's and C5's.

I never thought about the shifter boot on an automatic. I'm going to have to give this some more thought.

On the earlier C-3 you can use a 4 speed console trim plate and a leather boot to replace the slide on an automatic.

My stock **** looked like this, worne and plain boring:

I felt like doing something different so I went to my work and fabbed up this piece:

Another pic that is focused on the replacement steering wheel I found on a swapmeet, the price was about $12 but I had to modify it to fit the T&T column...

You will get the picture of how the **** looks anyhow.
The feeling of shifting with my own **** is OK, maybe even better to myself knowing it´s a home made oneoff?

I got the chrome ball and new button from either ZIP or Mid America if my memory serves me correctly.

The leather shift boot from Redline (forum vendor, at least was if they are not now) was 2 inch taller than stock. I would go even 4 inches taller than stock if I was to it again for a 100% coverage in all position look.
