Hey All,
I bought a can of Dupli-Color Flat Vinyl & Fabric and re-sprayed my faded black carpets. Great stuff.
Pisc show before & when done.
Glenn

Before: Carpet sun bleached brown.

During:

All done! Like new!

I'm quite happy with the results and highly recommend this product.

How bad does the interior stink after using that stuff?

Looks great
I removed the pass side carpet from my 78SA because sometime in the past a heater core leak gummed it up. Nobody bothered to clean it.
Ordered new, but while waiting for it to arrive figured what the heck, hung the old over my fence and thouroughly flushed it out, along with some of the color. Sprayed it with some interior dye I had(sem)and it looked great! Spent a little more time on it getting the color deep into the nap and brushing it out. Felt and looked like brand new.
New carpet...got sent back.

I sank a K5 Blazer once in a small river back in my wild and wooly days. I pulled the carpet out and dried it. I then used that exact product on the carpet and had no problems at all. I did apply two coats in the heavy traffic areas. Nice job

I worked for a corvette restorer way back when and there were a few cars we spray painted the original carpeting on in a few places. These were pretty expensive cars. Wanted to keep the carpeting original (didn't tell the new buyers, though)

After it dried, I brushed it with my hand and barely noticed any difference.

Only for a while. I had the T-Tops off so it could air out all afternoon. I'm sure I'll be able to smell it a little for a little while like any freshly painted surface.

A while back someone suggested replacing the carpet because it was sun bleached. It's the original carpet and it's in very good shape. Why replace it when I could take this route.

Thanks Alan! I love these kind of improvements that don't cost a lot, yet make a big difference.

Looks good Glen, it's hard to believe that a repair on our Corvettes, can be done for under 7.00 bucks.

I was looking for RIT but couldn't find it. Stumbled on this and figured I'd try it. It's stupid but I feel giddy like a kid with a new toy!
