Default Xmas in November

Early this morning I arrived back home in Maryland from Walpole, Massachusetts. Walpole is home to 2nd Generation Automotive Restorations (Supporting Vendor) where Stan and his shop build some of the best corvettes I have ever seen! I am privileged to own a corvette built by Stan and his shop. Here are some pictures of my early Xmas.....

For fellow enthusiasts who were at Corvettes at Carlisle this past year you probably got a chance to see this car up close.

You are a lucky individual indeed. We need more pics of it for sure. I love these race inspired cars. They just look so mean.

Oh man I would be so happy to see that car in person, let alone OWN IT. I am very envious.

I got to watch that car being built through the various threads and posts by Stan. Truly top notch work.

Keep that car SAFE and PLEASE, post lots of pics of it as you get to enjoy it as a new owner.

It has a very mean stance and a very aggressive sound thanks to the 502. Stan has some pics on his website of the build. http://www.2ndgenrestorations.com/

I will be posting more pics as well

Congrats! That car is gorgeus! I haven't seen it in live, but it's really great looking in pics! I like these race spirited cars a lot.

Here are two more pictures of the car. These were taken at Carlisle this year by Andy Wheeler (flatout).

That's an awesome car, one of the best C3's I've seen.

Can you list the mods and performance specs?

Awesome! I had the pleasure of seeing this car before completion, and also at Carlisle. Stan's work is amazing. I have this car as a screensaver! (I hope it is ok with you that I continue using it!) . The quality of work, and the functionality of this car are superb. I am happy to hear it is in Maryland, too. We will have to have a class of 68 reunion . I hope Stan has started on his restoration of his other 68! Merry Christmas!

Good Lord news travels fast around these parts!!!!!!

I am very happy to announce that my car went to the perfect owner for it (just like my last car)

Believe it or not, although it is $$$ that buys a car, to me it also takes the right owner.

As some of you know, I had been offered $$$ for it at Carlisle, as well as some trade plus cash offeres and turned them down.

This time I didnt.

Seeing Wayne's enthusiasm about this car(especially when I took him for a ride) was a huge deciding factor for me.
I also know that Wayne will treat that car properly and also enjoy it to it's fullest potential with his family.

I made a sale and in the process also made a friend!!!! That's what the car hobby is all about.

Wayne,
Congatulations from me and "Merry Christmas"

Now I got my work cut out for me to finish my other 68BB vert. The "STOCK" one.

I will post a thread of that one as well. But dont be expecting MINILITE wheels and flares this time.
It will be HUBCAPS and white line F70's, quiet exhaust, and a working stock radio that you will be able to hear over that 427.

NCRS it wont be. My body work, paint job and body gaps will be too good for that:rofl

But it will be STOCK!!!!

(No offence intended to the NCRS of course, but I pay a bit more attention to those things then the factory could afford to in 1968)

See you at Carlisle 2009!!!!

Congratulations goes out to you Wayne for getting what I saw at Carlisle to be the "Best Of Show".

Congratulations goes out to you Stan for making a new friend and passing along a beautiful car and memories to another Corvette enthusiast.

Having seen this car up close I can tell you that it inspires all who see it and draws people to it like a magnet.

Do enjoy that beautiful new addition to your stable and again my congratulations on a very special Christmas gift.

Best of success and fun.

David

After spending some time at Stan's shop, that would be the only place that I would take a vette!!!!
