Vettes in College?
Anybody out there in college that has a shark? Mine's sitting at home and I'm dying, what with the snowy season coming. I want to drive it so badly and get one last run in before winter, but the only seat I seem to be able to sit in is the one at my desk. How does everyone else manage it?

BTDT. Mine sat in storage every year during college. And to add to things, my roommate the last three years was a Porsche fan. Other than that, we got along pretty well.

OK Im in the SAME possition! and I looked arround town for the closes/cheaper storage space, I had a friend and myself drive both my vehicles up to springfield, and now Im vetting arround after classes almost everyday! best decision Ive made this year! Ill be taking the vette back durring the Thanksgiving break

I left mine at home and my dad wrecked it while I was away at school. Claims the battery cable came loose.

I was living in Alaska (bought my '69 in Anchorage), but went to school at U of Iowa. As much as I would have liked to have had my Corvette at school, money and logistics just wouldn't permit it.

I wish I could drive it every day, but I'm living on campus, and my house is a good 45 minutes away. That and there's no way I'd leave it sitting in the garage in the middle of downtown Akron. It'd be gone by tomorrow morning.
Although I did have to do a double take when I saw a red 67 big block vert with sidepipes and a stinger hood on the second level the other day.

ok so my car was formerly my dad's when I was growing up so I had about 20 years of look but don't touch...then I took ownership of it when I was in college about 2 years ago and had to wait to get it literally in my possession until graduation in may of 07. Then I got it and took it to my new house when i graduated...had it for 10 months and moved to a place with my g/f that has no garage. Now it is sitting at my parents house 4 hrs away as the stable mate to my dad's new Z. It was the worst thing ever driving it back up there not knowing when I'd have a place for it again. Now we're looking at city condo's to buy since housing is so cheap and rent makes no sense....BUT none have garages. I'm starting to lose hope of ever just being able to walk outside and hop in the vette that I actually own now.

Went to Univeristy of Cincinnati back in 1970. Drove my 66 big block to class every day.
Funny thing?
Parked facing downhill one winter day. It rained in the early hours, temp fell after noon. I went to get in the car after class and the floorboard had 3" of ice.
Damn near broke my ankle....
