Can I wash my car today?
oops, sorry wrong forum! just kidding... sort of. We have water restrictions here (Charlotte NC), and I know that we can water our lawn all day today (Saturday) because our street address is odd. Even numbers can water all day on Sunday only. But I am not 100% sure if car washing is allowed. Think I will go ahead and do it.
When we had water restrictions in NJ there was no car washing allowed at all. But in NJ my garage was hidden from the street and I washed my vette anyway... probably used 2 gallons of water total.
Took it to the 25 cent (high pressure hose do it yourself) carwash once.
How do you wash your vette when there are water restrictions in your area?

In Florida, we are allowed to wash cars as long as we have a control on the hose to turn off water when not using. A nozzle works fine. They just don't want the water running while you are soaping up the car. Never have a problem, my car is still on jacks. But someday I will be able to wash her!

Hey. How are you enjoying the new digs in North Carolina. Everything go OK with the move? I have not had a chance to run my car with the DR yet but once the summer activities are over I'll get it to the track.

We had water restictions 5+ years ago during a drought. It all depends on your neighbors and the water police. I used to wash my 7 cars on the grass no noone seem to care. It all depends ive heard of people getting tickets for that but I never had a problem. I also live in the mountains and have alot of space around me so who could see what im doing most of the time. I say if you think you might have a problem go to a car wash.

I live in the desert and there is a drought. Strangely enough, we never get restricted here. We did when we lived in CO but not since we moved to AZ. I don't get it

Gordon, everything going great. The vette got here 2 weeks before our household goods (just like we planned) and we have been here 2 months and the garage and house are still full of boxes, but we are making progress and absolutely love it here!!

I live about 2 hrs North of Charlotte and we don't have water restrictions yet. Last year no lawn watering or car washing at all for 3 months. The interesting thing is that it does not pay$ to conserve. We get billed in units of about 740 gallons - so if you use 742 gallons you are paying for a lot of water you haven't used. That means a lot of extra $'s for the city. So why conserve?

North Texas is the same most of the time.
We've had drought here that lasted almost 10 years until last summer. (Area lakes went from 30% to 100%, first time in 20 years).
This year we're back in it again. We have to use a sprayer, no open hoses, or else pay a fine if you're caught.
