Buying a vette = Mid-life crisis. I've loved the C3 since the 1st time I saw one (I was 15 yrs old)

Excuse me for that, but most of you guys are exaggerating, I did most (if not all!) of the jobs you called "almost impossible to do", and with some patience and "knowing" the right way of doing it, it will become easy to do. for instance, I kept reading some horror stories about removing the evaporator box, and I was convinced that I wont touch it unless I remove the engine of some reason, but when I decided to do it, it took me less than 30 min. to completely remove it out, mine is a big block, too!

Anything on a C3 that "you think" will take 10 minutes to fix will take 2 days, massive amounts of tools, 11 busted knuckles, untold number of cuss words and finally a flat bed tow on Monday to the local Corvette shop or GM dealer...

"JUST BECAUSE I'M CUSSING IN THE GARAGE...DOESN'T MEAN I'M NOT HAVING FUN!!!"

Whatever you put into an old Vette you can always get out of it when you sell it.

I can't remember how many A/C 'vettes I looked at to purchase, that had no belt on the compressor, and the owner would say.......

Let me see you get all 4 nuts on a brake booster in 30 minutes..

That was truthful advise on that one, everybody said it would be really hard..
