Melting Slicks
You can purchase the tool from an auto paint store or tool company:
http://www.toolsource.com/window-mol...d-p-71095.html
You slide the tool under the trim from the window side until you find a clip.
Then slide the tool under the clip and it releases the trim. Keep working
around the trim until all the clips are released.
The downside is that the clips are brittle from age and break easily.
I removed the trim on several cars without any problems, then managed
to break several on another car. To replace the clips the window
has to be removed. (Ask how I know this!) Cost $80 for a glass
company to come to my house, remove the window and replace all
the clips which I provided.
Another alternative is to have an auto glass company remove the trim.
They may do this for a minimum charge if you drive to their shop.
