I always wonder why people dont at least attempt to clean up the cars before they take pictures of them.
An the underside looks absolutly horrid. So rusty the exhaust has deteriorated?
All i can say is wow

The $10k isn't the asking price, the auction started at $1,000. People have bid it up that high. Seems crazy to me, but I guess if someone wants an original 454 red ext/black int. total resto project, that's about what they're going for now.
This car has a lot of potential ... as in it will potentially bankrupt whoever buys it.

Man, that's a lot of rust. Even if all that is just surface rust you KNOW the windshield frame is GONE! Even the metal interior pieces are covered with rust!

Poor car. Hate to see them so neglected.
The seller did a good job of posting many detailed pics as to the condition that the car is in. At least, he's not trying to hide things, as other flea bay posters have done.
What you see is what you get, I guess. I think I'll save my coin for a different project; one that isn't bathed in years of rust, critters, leaves or straw. For that kind of money, there's still time to find a healthier unit.

I saw that the other day. I hate to say it but if ever there was a candidate for the crusher, this is it! As prior posters have stated, this would bankrupt someone trying to bring it back to life. Sometimes euthanasia is the kindest act, why prolong the suffering.

Ever think maybe someone is just buying it for the matching #'s...?
You could basically double your money that way. Come to think of it, it's the ONLY reason I can think of that someone would buy it in this state.
Think about it, what if you had a same year NOM 454, worth about $15k, but your body and interior and suspension etc. were all in good shape. So you buy this one and basically junk everything but keep the VIN plates, engine block, and transmission. Then swap everything around from your "good" car (ie; put the tranny, and VINs from this one into yours and rebuild your motor onto this one's main block). Now you've just taken a $15k car, added $10k, and can sell it for $35k+
