A Muscale Car is How you spell Muscle When you are typing way to faaast...
Or that thats the way Popeye would said it...
YOUR SUPPOSE TO FOCUS ON THE CAR NOT MY LACK OF TYPING ABILITY...
OK I have seen a few videos! THanks for sharing.
But surely there are plenty more out there!
I would like to see some cockpit quarter mile runs? Or even Quarter mile runs from out side the car...
So let keep this post going with some vids of you beating on your vette. If you dont have any, It's a good excuse to break out the vette and shot one! All I did was put the digital camera on a tripod and folded the legs up and bungy corded it to the Passenger seat. Hit record and commenced the beating...

I have Heddman Ceramic Heaters, into 2.5 exhaust pipes back through Flowmaster 40's. Added about 20HP noticeable difference.
Here are some pics of how I had it done, Looks close to stock but it sounds like an animal...

Great vid! And a nice "route" to drive and stay out of the way of traffic.
How would you describe the difference in power, responsiveness and rev-ability when you switched to the LT1 cam?
Just curious how you'd describe the difference - I floated the valves on my L46 a few times. (I've owned both a '69 L46 and '70 LT1).

I'm damn jealous. I wish mine would lay rubber from a rolling start, and catch 3rd gear every time. A 69 L-46 is exactly what I'd like to sell my 79 for eventually. Sweet video.

I can't find any of the driving videos of my vette right now. But I did come up with one of it idling in my driveway when we are getting ready to take it out on cruise.
See it here.

Good point on the route! I always try to be safe. Its my choice to go out and beat on my car. if that is somewhat dangerous then other cars on the road did not make that choice...So I leave them out of it. I alway used newly constructed non traveled roads or I will jump on it if there is not traffic on an on ramp until I get up to the entrance of the Freeway. I do not condone this type of driving unless you have done it on a track and feel comfortable in your driving skills, I spent most free Saturdays as a Teenager on a dragstrip beating on my 79 Z28 I had me and my Dad built!
To answer the performace question:
I never drove the car before the engine was rebuilt with the LT1 Solid lift cam?, It was restored and the engine was just put together when I bought it. It had stock exhaust and when I swithed out to The headers and Flowmaster exhaust it could definately breath much better, and was more responsive and reved alot quicker! I also added the updated ignition at the same time as the headers so its probably a combo effect of noticeable power gain! It used to get traction in first gear, now I have to pedal it to get traction before second gear. List to the last burnout on the video you can hear me let off in 1st to gain traction...at least a little. I left at @ 2200 RPM. But it just blows the tire loose.
I also noticed after the above mention changes when I power/speed shift into second it loses all traction and gets squirrelly, It never would do that before.
I just shift normally in the video. I Scared my self Speed shifting.. kicking the car sideways going into second can make you pucker up pretty tight so I have fought the urges to power shift into second... Maybe I'll have to make a part 2 to the video to show what i mean...

When you were backing out of the garage and I saw the neighborhood, I was thinking Man, that could be my area! Once I started recognizing the streets, I looked at your profile: Katy. Bingo! That's my "20".
Got to love the amazing home construction still going on: all that new concrete on the as-of-yet vacant streets waiting to be christened.
When you're really getting on it in the video, that just looks and sounds great!
